Egret Reunion

This painting is part of I’ll Fly Away, a tender collection created in honor of my dad and inspired by the beloved hymn he requested at his service. Each piece captures the quiet grace of birds in flight, symbolizing freedom, memory, and the comforting belief that our loved ones are never far from us.

Painted in textured oils, this 20x20x1.5 is deeply meaningful. The egrets soft, uplifting movement is meant to bring peace to any space, especially during a season when joy and remembrance often intertwine. The location was referenced at Kiawah River, but I also added more egrets gathering that I recently referenced at the Rookery Bird Sanctuary in St. Augustine, FL.
